SPECIAL CALL: Longer Fiction!

Calling for your Long(er) Stories!

The Hive has decided that for one glorious month (September) we will be looking at submissions of short stories (in addition to our normal flash length). So:

What do we want: Stories up to 5000 words in length

When do we want them: ONLY IN SEPTEMBER

How do we want them: Following our normal guidelines

Why do we want them: BECAUSE WE DO

In the case of longer fiction, we want to see stories that need that extra space not stories that are long just because they can be. We’ll be looking for stories that move us and surprise us while being well paced and well written. Editor Chloe begs you for ghost stories and stories about space, but we welcome all kinds of stories (as long as you remember to follow our NORMAL GUIDELINES! Please remember to add trigger warnings as needed).
